Information:

The Bachelor program includes a specialist foreign internship comprising 25 credits and at least 19 weeks, which is, as a rule, completed in the regular program's 6th semester. The abroad internship is a compulsory practical training (§11 StO). Students whose mother tongue is not German may complete their internship in Germany (§11 para. 3 StO). However, they may not complete their internship in their country of origin.

The aim of the specialist internship is to establish a close connection between studying and professional practice. Students are able to acquire application-oriented know how and practical experience on the basis of knowledge gained through the program teaching.

Formal Issues
The internship particulars are regulated by the marker guidelines for internship. Before starting an internship students are required to fill in an marker internship application and draw up a marker contract. Be sure that you have a signature of your co-ordinator, the HTW stamp as well as the signature and the stamp of the company you are going to be placed with. The two forms have to be submitted to the BIB-Course Administrator, Ms. Biehl.
